For those of us who love to dive deeply into the heart of the non-dual understanding, retreats offer an unprecedented opportunity: seven days with Rupert and friends, nestled in a beautiful location in nature, where we steep together in the peace of our true nature. Each day features two guided meditations in which we rest in being, as being, as well as a dialogue in which we discuss the non-dual understanding. Between these meetings, we enjoy three delicious vegetarian meals together, where the love and understanding effortlessly transmits itself through friendship. In the evenings, we might relax with friends, watch a movie together or celebrate through poetry and music.

About The Vedanta: Set in the heart of Lincolnshire, The Vedanta is surrounded by rolling countryside, historic market towns and villages, with many local walking trails to explore. All participants, including commuters, have access to the venue’s spa facilities, welcoming social spaces and quiet areas to rest or meditate between meetings.

Important information about the venue: The Vedanta is run by a Hare Krishna organisation and is therefore strictly vegetarian and alcohol-free. We kindly ask that no alcohol or non-vegetarian products are brought on site and that the venue’s guidelines are respected by our group.

There is also a no-shoes policy inside the building. Guests are asked to bring slippers to wear indoors, although a small selection is available to purchase on arrival if needed.

Short Film: A Seven Day Retreat with Rupert Spira

This short film, recorded at The Vedanta, offers a gentle glimpse into the atmosphere of a retreat with Rupert.

In the unlikely event that the retreat is cancelled due to Covid-19 or other comparable health concerns, any deposit payments will be automatically transferred to a replacement Retreat at Home.

This retreat will also be available to join via livestream for those unable to attend in person. The online format includes all main sessions of Rupert’s guided meditations and dialogues, two of the dialogue sessions will be integrated with Zoom to give livestream participants the opportunity to ask Rupert a question. All sessions are broadcast live from the venue and will also be recorded for replay during and after the retreat.
